CE is a self certification, it's up to you as the manufacturer to make sure it complies with the standard or else you assume liability. Unofficial CE testing labs exist.

Yeah, if you have a dispute with a Chinese supplier good luck taking them to court. But if your agent that is a registered company in China they can easily hold a supplier accountable under local law...

if you want to protect your patent you must open this tech to the public and authority to trade for protection. This is the essential of patent laws. you can not keep it as business secret then after others figure out the similar things you claim you have copyrights for this ting. Today,s China also serious about protecting patents it is hard to find illegal software and movies on market. you may find some free resource BT resource on internet but this thing are the same everywhere.

Here are the REAL questions: Why is just ONE mold outrageously expensive? What are the technical breakdowns that cause the creation process of only ONE mold to be expensive? Truthfully it sounds to me that someone is seriously overcharging. The plastic material is absolute GARBAGE, because, plastic is way too fragile, and breaks way too easily. If I want one mold to be created so that I can re-create a flimsy plastic part in solid aluminum instead, it should not be retardedly expensive.

I ordered 100 items of a product from China, out of which 37 were defective. The factory does not want to issue the refund. They say they will make 37 items extra with my next order. Of course I do not want to order anything else from this manufacturer anymore. Is there any way at all to get a refund (I paid through PayPal), or such an option doesn't exist at all?
